Where do you travel to?

The Cocktail Bus is based in Oxfordshire but as the name suggests we can drive in, so travel around the UK isn’t a problem. For events based over 150 miles from Oxford we may need to look at an alternative delivery method as the bus is an old classic from the 60’s after all!

How much does it cost to hire The Cocktail Bus?

We have set packages available if you refer to our ‘pricing’ page and can provide bespoke options factoring in the length of your event, the number of guests and the number of bar staff you require. Give us a call or send in an email with a few details, and we’ll be happy to provide you with a quotation. Other than our base hire fee, drinks menus and staffing are flexible.

How long can we hire the bar for?

From one day events to week long shows, subject to date availability. Hire costs typically reduce when the bus is hired for longer periods.

How long does the bus take to set up?

We prefer to set up the bus the day before your event but can arrive on the same day providing we have a clear four hour period as a minimum. The bus has a 7m double step set up for guests to access the bar

How many guests can you cater for?

The number depends on the services we’re offering and how many guests you have attending. Our base hire fee tends to be a flat rate so above that we can cater for anything from smaller socials with 1 or 2 of our bar team up to larger private events or busy festivals for example with 6 bartenders on shift at any one time. The bus has 3 x 2m serving hatches and a 6m solid wood American walnut bar counter.

What are your drinks prices?

We can provide either a range of premium or standard spirits combined with fresh & home-made mixers & ingredients across the bar. We are happy to work with you to create bespoke drinks menus and services, priced to match your budget, theme or taste. Please refer to our current drinks menus for inspiration.

What drinks do you serve?

We normally offer a set menu of cocktails, craft beers, wines & sparkling wines, Champagne, spirits and soft drinks. However our mixologists and sommeliers can arrange a bespoke drinks menu, specific cocktails, or arrange to theme the bar to your particular event.

Can we add our own branding to your bar?

Absolutely! The Cocktail Bus can be temporarily rebranded for corporate and/or private events as desired for an additional fee with enough notice.

Can you assist with other areas of the event?

In association with our sister company, Effective Event Solutions, we can provide full event management services and catering options for your event. We have over 20 years of event organisation experience so you are in good hands!

What types of venues can you operate at?

Try us, we’re always up for a challenge! We’ve set up bars at a wide range of events, including festivals, private parties, weddings and sporting events. If your proposed venue is vehicle-accessible, whether indoors or outdoors, we can probably get there! So long as you have a clear, flat space of approximately 10m x 8m, we’re in business.

How far in advance do I need to book?

We recommend at least a month in advance in the off season and up to 6 to 8 months for the Summer period and/or weekends to avoid disappointment.

What hours can a mobile bar operate?

The license to operate is applied for in accordance with the hours you specify for your event when you contact us to book. We provide the necessary licence such as a Temporary Event Notice (TEN) for unlicensed venues where alcohol is being served. In accordance with law we have to strictly adhere to the ‘Challenge 25’ ruling to avoid selling alcohol to under-age drinkers. When your bar is pre-paid in advance it is likely that you will not require a licence.
